Discussing different theological perspectives on the end times as depicted in Revelation chapters 12 and 13, encouraging a deeper understanding of eschatology.
“She gave birth to a son, a male child, destined to rule all the nations with an iron rod. Her child was caught up to God and his throne.” (Rev. 12:5)
The Gospels of Matthew (1:1–2:23) and Luke (1:5–2:52) give us The Infancy Narrative, revealing the details of the birth of our Savior, referred to in the Book of Revelation, chapter 12 vs. 5 as “…a son, a male child, destined to rule all the nations with an iron rod.” He comes to us in all humility, like us in every way except sin (see Heb 4:15)
The second part of this verse sums up the life of Mary’s son by simply stating “Her child was caught up to God and his throne.” His short life was victorious. He completed his mission of salvation, and after his resurrection from the dead, he ascended to Heaven where he rules forever more as King of kings and Lord of lords.
